1) What is the difference between a new and used textbook?

A new book must be clean with no markings or bent corners. It must contain all required supplements like CDs, access codes and the like.

If you use the student ISBN for Instructor Editions or complimentary copy textbooks, a lesser price may be given based on the book's value.

A used book must have all of its pages with no tears, have a front and rear cover with minimal scrapes or dents and be firmly bound to the spine. A lesser price may be given if the book is missing it's CD or other required supplement, has more than 25% highlighting or wrinkled pages or has stains or odor.

Packing books well, will insure they arrive at our facility in good condition. Please see our helpful packing tips.



2) What kinds of textbooks you don't buy?

We don't buy old editions, custom editions. Instructor manuals, test banks, preliminary editions or books that are out of print. Please do not send International Editions under the US ISBN. We don't buy those and we will not return them.


3) How do I know how much I will get for my books?

Once you have entered your book's ISBN and condition you will receive a price quote. We offer a price for new texts and a price for used texts. You will receive the price quoted provided that your book arrives at etextshop in the condition you stated. Please make sure you pack it well to avoid damage during shipping.


4) How do I ship my books and who pays for the shipping cost?

Once you have decided to sell your books to us, you will be able to print a free shipping label and a packing slip. Please package your books well and take them to your local post office. If you want to track or insure your shipment you will have to pay for these services yourself.

5) Do you buy study guides?

We do buy study guides and lab manuals provided they are clean and have no markings.



6) What if you never receive my books?

If you have not received a confirmation that your books have arrived at our facility within 30 days of shipping, please contact us directly via email at buyback AT etextshop.com (replace AT with @) or by phone at 800-509-0490. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. You will not be paid for books we do not receive.
